  • IT Center West @ Business Region Göteborg

IT Center West @ Business Region Göteborg

IT Center West @ Business Region Göteborg - the cluster for the ICT industry in West Sweden IT Center West´s vision is to transform the Gothenburg region into one of Europe´s leading ICT regions. Our main field of activity is analyzing selling points that are unique to the region. We market the region's ICT competence on an international scale in collaboration with Invest Sweden. We investigate companies' interest in participating in the formation of clusters that involve enough companies to constitute a value chain. We then package and market these clusters to stimulate expansion in existing companies and attract new ones. The strong presence of traditional industrial companies - which are perhaps the most important procurers of IT competence - is a major success factor for the ICT branch in the Gothenburg region. So is the access to high-quality research and education and the development of unique, world leading competence in telematics, microwave technology, and visualization.

  • Gapwaves AB

    Gapwaves AB

The patented GAP waveguide technology is based on an invention by Professor Per-Simon Kildal at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. The technology is further developed in Professor Kildal´s research group as well as at other European and US universities. The GAP waveguide has unique advantages compared to existing microwave and millimeter transmission line and waveguide technology and may for the first time allow cost effective RF components to be built for systems operating typically from 30 GHz to THz. We are providing the technology to set footprints and for benchmarking us against conventional technique in these fields. The technology is applicable and cost efficient.
