The Chalmers and Industry workshop on GaN had more than 100 delegates.Startup mingle and registration before the exiting day began.
Jan Grahn form Chalmers welcome all to this international workshop on new reserach and technologies
Hervé Blanck from UMS in Ulm in Germany talked on GaN technology for 2 -20 GHz.
Niklas Rorsman from Chalmers informaed us about GaN processoíng and design at Chalmers leading towars and integrated transeiver.
Akira Inoue from Mitsubishi Electric in Kanagawa, Japan, talked about the Mitsubishi experiencies in GaN technologies and design.
We had all an exellent lunch and discussed the information we had been given in the morning and what we where looking forward to hear about in the afternoon.
Back to start the afternoon session.
Jan Grahn introduces Rüdiger Quay from IAF Fraunhofer in Freiburg, Germany who will talk about thier research
Bo Berglund from Ericsson in Kista, Sweden gaw us insigt in the possibities and challenges in RBS allociations and what it will mean to use GaN technology.
More important time for sharing of idear and findings.
Jan Grahn introduces Takuo Kashiwa from Furuno Electric in Nishinomiya Hyogo in Japan, a new member to the GigaHertz center. Takuo Kashiwa talked about the challenges im replacing traditional radar technology in maritime radars with GaN technology.
Finally Johan Carlert from Saab, Göteborg, Sweden, talked about the use of GaN technology in defense microwave systems such as radars and EW applications. He also presented parts of the result from the successful pan European project KORRIGaN that just has been finalized.
After the workshop all where invited to see the Microwave laboratories at Chalmers.
